You know you have the most exciting responsibilities at HPS! Just those couple laps we took together in your high-powered Mercedes convinced me that selling HPS machinery must be fabulous fun (and probably detrimental to your drivers license). Thanks for asking me to make the first runs with you. A better driver would have given you a more "extensive" appreciation of the capabilities of the CLK, but I sure enjoyed it. Linear power and lots of it.
As I mentioned in my note to Bill, you guys handled your car and the crowd well. As journalists, our goal is to find something interesting to write about (preferably not the shunt we may have taken in your vehicle) and you need to get the maximum exposure with the least amount of drama. In my view you did well in meeting journalistic demands while putting as many automotive scribes as possible in the Mercedes drivers seat.
